Tack coat quality plays an important role in the performance of pavement structures. Smaller specimens cause smaller holes in the pavement when cores are used and require less material when gyratory specimens are used. This kit allows for the testing of 3″ to 4″ specimens with Pine’s Bond Strength Shear Test Fixture.
A proper test requires that the shear plane of the specimen be aligned in the shear gap of the fixture. The shims and bolts provided in this kit help one properly fix the position of the specimen in the fixture.
A Kit Includes:
- One Set of Two (2) Reducer Sleeves
- One Set of 1/16″, 1/8″, & 1/4″-thick Shims (4 Pieces per Thickness per Set)
- 1.5″ Long Bolts (8 Bolts per Set)
Also available are sets of shims and bolts to replace ones that have been damaged or misplaced.
