Printing Data – Pine 125X with Original Controls

“The DOT now requires that we print the compaction data directly from the gyro.  We use a Pine 125X.  Can you help me?”

Yes, we can help you.

A 3-part blog series explains related topics for a Pine 125X Superpave gyratory compactor with original controls.  Information presented represents version 1.09D of the control software.

The first article discusses the basics—the data collected, 125X file capacity, data exporting options, file types, and file naming convention.

The second blog presents saving date from a Pine 125X to a USB flash drive or a PC.

This third publication describes printing data from a Pine 125X with original controls.

Printers

Printing data directly from a Pine 125X requires a PCL-compatible printer.  The Pine 125X runs on an industrial computer that does not have Windows drivers required for printing to most printers.  Contact Pine for a printer proven to work with your gyratory compactor.

Printouts

The 125X with original controls offers three direct printout options—a Narrow Format Report via the serial port and a serial printer, a Wide Format Report through the parallel port, and a data logger report via the serial port/data logger.

The Narrow Format Report via the serial port and a serial printer prints the gyration number and the height for that gyration separated by a comma in a column.

The Wide Format Report printed through the parallel port provides only height data per gyration.

The Data Logger Report printed through the serial port / data logger / printer port provides the date and time the data was sent to the data logger and height by gyration.
